Now in its third year, the Women in Games Awards 2017 saw MCV, Develop and eSports Pro celebrate the achievements of women in the UK games industry. Eight awards were handed out on the day, with categories including Breakthrough Talent (sponsored by Aardvark Swift), Rising Star (sponsored by The Yogscast), New Development Talent, eSports Contender, Career Mentor, Creative Impact, Businesswoman of the Year, and Outstanding Contribution.
