XCom: Enemy Within invades High Streets this November

Following the success of last year’s XCom: Enemy Unknown, 2K Games will release a fresh batch of strategic action later this year.

The newly-announced XCom: Enemy Within is an expanded version of the hit 2012 title that adds new content and scenarios. It is being developed by Firaxis Games.

The title will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Mac on November 15th. PC owners will be able to buy the new Enemy Within content as a traditional expansion pack. Meanwhile console owners can pick up a standalone SKU entitled XCom: Enemy Within – Commander Edition.

Expansion content includes new soldier abilities, weapons and equipment and different enemies to take on. It also introduces the Meld resource, which lets players unlock research and upgrades.

There will also be an expanded selection of multiplayer and tactical challenge maps.

The Commander Edition on consoles will also feature the Elite Soldier Pack and Slingshot Content Pack that were made available as DLC for Enemy Unknown.
