Yamauchi: GT5 is 90% done

Kazunori Yamauchi has once again assured Gran Turismo fans that work on the highly anticipated racer is nearly complete.

In an interview with Inside Line, the series’ creator said: Gran Turismo 5 is about 90 per cent finished. There are currently around 140 people, working on the project.”

He also reiterated that GT5 would not be released until it satisfied everyone’s wishes and then exceeded them”. However, as CVG points out, Yamauchi said remarkably similar things back in January.

Yamauchi also claimed his team was unable to work all of the features he hoped for into the game, but refused to elaborate on what has been omitted.

Gran Turismo was first announced at E3 2006 and has yet to be given a release date. It is thought to be due this Christmas.
