Zombies return in Black Ops

It looks as if Treyarch is to resurrect one of the most popular features from its last Call of Duty game in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops.

In a listing on Best Buy’s website, as spotted by CVG, the retailer claims that the Hardened Edition of the game will include a Four Zombie Maps Pack made famous from COD: World at War”.

If correct, it’s likely that the Zombie DLC will also be included in the Prestige Edition, which includes everything found in the Hardened pack. And a RC-XD Surveillance Vehicle.

The Nazi Zombie multiplayer mode was a big hit with gamers when it debuted in World at War and even went on to spawn a dedicated iPhone title.

Fellow Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward, however, has been less enthusiastic about the possible inclusion of the undead in its titles.

MCV has contacted Activision for clarification.

UPDATE: Activision has told MCV that it is "unable to offer comment on this".
