Zuma Blitz hits Facebook

PopCap’s Zuma Blitz has now gone live on Facebook, reworking the games firm’s hit puzzle game for a social platform.

The game condenses the familiar ball-blasting mechanic into a one-minute quickfire game and introduces social networking features to the acclaimed Zuma franchise, which has sold over 20 million units worldwide.

Players will be able to compare scores, medals and achievements with their friends, as well as levelling up their own power-ups in weekly tournaments or the new Hot Frog speed mode.

Zuma Blitz is the second title from the casual games giant to be adapted for the hugely popular social network, following the launch of Bejeweled Blitz. The latter has attracted almost 40 million users in less than two years, with more than 150 million sessions played every day.
