Zynga spends over $1m on security for Mark Pincus

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Zynga spent $1.37m in 2011 on security for CEO Mark Pincus and his family.

Security for management isn’t uncommon in large companies, but the amount puts Zynga at number three in a list of 24 businesses according to a pay survey by Hay Group.

The companies that outspent Zynga in CEO protection were Lockheed Martin and Oracle.

With more attention on its CEO following Zynga’s public offering, the social and mobile games publisher also had to concern themselves with a stalker issue last year, Business Insider reports.

A regulatory filing also showed that Zynga compensated Pincus with $69,687 for security in 2010.
