Zynga’s Pincus: I’m bored with games

The founder and chairman of troubled social games giant Zynga has made a startling admission.

Speaking to journalists at an informal rooftop talk” in Israel, Mark Pincus admitted that right now, I’m pretty bored with all games” when asked what his favourite game was, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Pincus was even offered the chance to retract the statement. He declined.

The comments come after what has by any measure been an incredibly difficult period for the company that has seen most of its high-level execs depart and marked a distinctly troubled start to life on the markets following its flotation.

Former Xbox boss Don Mattrick joined Zynga in July, having been handed the CEO job by Pincus.
