Jordan Thomas moves into indie development and game consulting

2K Marin creative director leaves studio

The creative director at BioShock 2 developer 2K Marin has left the studio.

Revealing the news on Twitter, as spotted by Superannuation, Jordan Thomas said he had left the company to take up indie development.

“And to celebrate my first (public) day of indie dev… I am home w/ my level 0 son. Making sure he doesn’t get ganked in the noob zone,” he said.

His LinkedIn profile has also been updated to confirm the move, now acting as both a consultant and working on an upcoming independent game project.

Thomas had been at 2K Marin for five years, working on titles such as BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite. Prior to that he worked as a design consultant for Irrational Games and as creative director at BreakAway Austin.
