Marvelous Entertainment reckons 3DS games cost significantly more to make than PSP or DS

3DS dev costs mirror Wii equivalent

The cost of making a 3D game for Nintendo’s 3DS is significantly higher than doing the same on either the DS or PSP, production studio Marvelous Entertainment has claimed.

1UP reports that the company estimates that the cost of making a 3DS comes in at between $600k and $1.8m.

By comparison, DS development costs stand at around something between $50k and $500k. For PSP there’s greater variation – somewhere between $36k and $710k.
