Publisher 'proud' to join organisers of Canadian event

Activision signed as Elan Awards event partner

Activision has been signed as the event partner at the 2009 Elan Awards.

The Canadian event is designed to recognise excellence the video game, animation and special effects industries.

"Activision is proud to partner with the Elan Awards as it expands into a global competition celebrating the great accomplishments in digital entertainment this past year," said Steve Ackrich, Head of Production at Activision Publishing.

"With the Elan Awards making the move this year into a fully global competition, we couldn’t be happier to partner with one of the leading publishers in the world," added Holly Carinci, founder and producer of the Elan Awards.

The Elan awards were previously scheduled to take place on March 21st, but the official date has since been changed. The organisers of the event are to reveal a firm date at a press conference on March 11th.
