Developer Lilith announces new partnership with indie publisher

Allison Road drops Kickstarter for Team17 deal

Developer Lilith has halted its Kickstarter crowdfunding push for survival horror title Allison Road.

The PT-inspired title’s Kickstarter launched on September 21st, and since then Lilith has raised £145,959 of its £250,000 goal and attracted 4,482 backers.

The studio has announced on Kickstarter that the reason it has ditched its crowdfunding effort was in fact to partner with indie publisher Team 17.

This isn’t the first Kickstarter title that Team 17 has stepped in to help out – in July of this year the label announced it would be publishing Playtonic’s Yooka-Laylee, which raised £2m via Kickstarter.

“We are delighted to announce that we will be joining Team17’s highly successful games label,” Lilith said via Kickstarter.

“If you don’t know who Team17 is, they are most known for its Worms franchise, however, it run a fully independent games label. For us it’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a label that looks after not only such a massive gaming franchise, but also supports developers like Playtonic,Mouldy Toof and many others.

“Working with Team17 will give us the chance to make our game unhindered creatively, but at the same time will give us the resources, support and experience that only a 25 year old studio can give.

“For all of you that have pledged already for in game rewards, we absolutely promise you that we will look at ways outside of Kickstarter that will allow you to be involved in the game at a later date.”
