Kindle Fire's cloud saving and social gaming app moving to new platforms

Amazon Game Circle coming to all Android devices

Amazon has revealed it’s bringing Game Circle to all Android devices.

Game Circle launched last year as part of an Amazon push to make the Kindle Fire more attractive to game developers.

The API helps devs integrate features like cloud saving, leaderboards, and achievements with relative ease, but until now has been available only on Amazon’s tablet.

This is a pretty standard feature set for mobile social gaming and iOS already has Apple’s Game Center, but there’s still a gap on Android devices after the closure of Gree’s Openfeint this December.

Developers interested in taking a look at Game Circle can visit its page on Amazon’s developer website.
