Hundreds of thousands of tracks used in games, film and TV available to developers

APM’s cinematic music library comes to Unity Asset Store

Unity has signed a deal with APM Music to bring its extensive library of game, TV and film scores to the Unity Asset Store.

Hundreds of thousands of tracks will be made available to developers under the agreement, who can licence their use in their games.

APM’s search engine and music library will be integrated directly into the Unity Asset Store, meaning developers will not have to leave the marketplace when making purchases. Each track will be subject to licensing terms.

“This is a really huge deal for our community of developers,” said Unity found David Helgason.

“They now have access to an unbelievable wealth of music tracks at easily attainable prices. APM Music is where many of the world’s leading publishers and movie producers come to licence tracks and, working together, we’ve evened out another aspect of development that was once heavily weighted to big budgets and deep connections.”

APM Music is a joint venture between EMI Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing to make a collection of hundreds of thousands of music tracks available for use in film, TV, games and radio.

Recent APM credits include Guardians of The Galaxy, Captain America, Nightcrawler and games such as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Destiny, Far Cry 4 and Just Dance 5.
