Master SDK released

Apple now accepting app submissions for iOS 5

Hours after announcing its next-generation smartphone, Apple has allowed developers to submit their apps for the upcoming iOS 5 operating system.

Developers can now begin to file their software using a master SDK, which was released today. Submissions using beta SDK development tools will not be allowed.

Apple tends to review a game within a week of its submission, though it is likely the process will be slowed as a flood of submissions come through. The Beta tools have been available to developers for several months.

iOS 5 is due to launch to consumers on October 12th, two days before the worldwide launch of Apple’s iPhone 4S.
