Yakuza of the End confirmed for West

Remember that seemingly bizarre zombie spin-off of Sega’s Yakuza series that was released in Japan? The publisher has just confirmed it will be released in Europe in March 2012.

It’s also changed its name in its journey across the globe. It will be known as Yakuza: Dead Souls in the UK and will be a PS3 exclusive.

The game is set in the Yakuza universe but sees players tackling the undead instead of the Japanese mafia.

We know how much people love Yakuza in the West and with Dead Souls being the latest and greatest in the franchise its only right we bring it to them closer to the Japanese release than ever,” senior VP of marketing Gary Knight said.
