Adventure game becomes fastest Ubisoft's fastest selling title in history

Assassin’s Creed 3 surpasses 7 million sales

Ubisoft’s blockbuster title Assassin’s Creed III has surpassed more than seven million sales worldwide.

The title has hit the impressive figure just over a month after release, making it the fastest-selling game in the publisher’s history.

During its launch week, Assassin’s Creed III racked up 3.5 million in sales.

Players have accumulated more than 82 centuries of gameplay and have committed more than three billion assassinations.

“The reception for Assassin’s Creed 3 has been exceptional, and this success has positioned the game among the best sellers of the 2012 holiday season” said Ubisoft EMEA chief marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin.

“We knew we had something special on our hands when Assassin’s Creed 3 was launched, and we’re really excited and proud to see how much fans are enjoying the latest instalment in the franchise.”
