Rumors that the shooter had been scrapped are unfounded

Bethesda: Doom 4 not cancelled

Bethesda has silenced rumors circulating earlier in the week which claimed that id Software’s new shooter had been shelved.

"Doom 4 is not cancelled. When we are ready to talk about the game, we’ll let folks know," a Bethesda spokesperson informed Gamespot.

Doom 4 was first confirmed in 2008, but has since been the subject of a number of rumors, all dispelled by Bethesda.

Bethesda declined to comment on a stream of leaked screenshots, now totaling 170 images.
