The Witcher developer CD Projekt RED has officially opened a new studio in Kracow, Poland.
Staff at the office will help bolster development of titles such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.
“A new studio, new people and new energy – we’re growing and we’re extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Cracow has to offer,” said CD Projekt head Adam Badowski.
“We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction. Cracow, one of the cultural and scientific centres of Europe, is a really special place that will leave a significant mark on our games.”
News of the new studio first emerged last month, and Badowski confirmed to Develop at the time it would be opening the new office in July.
The studio will be housed by around 20 staff, and as well as its co-development duties, it will also be responsible for making one of the company’s upcoming two smaller titles.
