Microsoft bringing Beautiful Game winners to October 2nd conference – Book your place now

Celebrate Scotland’s rising stars at Develop Live

Scotland is home to many ambitious new studios, thanks in part to the presence of established developers like Rockstar and renowned universities like Abertay.

Microsoft will be taking a closer look at some of the rising stars the nation has to offer during a panel session at Develop Live, which will be held at The Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh on Thursday, October 2nd.

The session will follow-up on the firm’s Power Up: The Beautiful Game competition, in which studios competed to see who could rack up the most downloads via the Windows and Windows Phone stores. The contest was designed to help new and smaller developers learn about marketing and discoverability.

Several Scottish studios were among the Top 20 winners, and five of those will be at Develop Live to discuss what they learned and how they will approach future release. Speakers will include Blazing Griffin’s Peter van der Watt, Guerilla Tea’s Charlie Czerkawski, Pixel Blimps’ Isaac Howie-Brewerton, Mogworks’ Donald Sutherland and Geared Kids’ Kasim Qureshi.

Yesterday, we announced the full programme for Develop Live.

Tickets cost £149, with discounts available for UKIE/TIGA/SGN members, students and independent developers (those with less than 10 employees). To apply for a discount code, email James.Batchelor@intentmedia.co.uk, or head to www.develop-live.com to book your place.

Develop Live is supported by event partners OPM Response and Abertay University. To find out more about sponsorship opportunities, contact Alex.Boucher@intentmedia.co.uk or call him on 01992 535647.
