Free-to-play outlet founded a new Games arm last year

Cheezburger CTO joins Gameforge

One of the execs behind viral websites icanhascheezburger.com and membase.com has bolstered the ranks of German studio Gameforge.

Jeffrey Brown served as CTO of Cheezburger for two years, having previously held positions in the development industry at Valve and Gas Powered Games.

He moved to the same position at Gameforge in December, following the free-to-play specialist’s creation of a new Games arm last year.

Aimed at streamlining development at the company, the Games division is being led by Tim Campbell.

"I am very fortunate to be working with the amazing people here at Gameforge in Karlsruhe," said Brown (via GI).

"I look forward to helping the company grow and to help ‘level up’ the company’s games and platform."
