25 year old studio seeking to fill programming and design roles for unnamed projects

Climax initiates hiring spree

Long-standing UK studio Climax is hiring, and is currently seeking those to fill programming and design roles.

The studio, which has worked on high profile IP including Silent Hill and EyePet, is looking to welcome a lead programmer and lead designer to the team, and has a number of junior programmer openings available. Climax also has positions vacant for a VFX artist and business development manager.

“As Climax embarks on its 25th anniversary year we are excited by the whole range of new hardware platforms that are emerging," said Climax CEO Simon Gardner (pictured). "We have spent the last year working on new games, engine technologies, analytics tools and exploring new business models to use on these new platforms.

"With so many opportunities available – hopefully including imminent tax incentives – we are pleased to announce that we will be growing our headcount over the coming months at our harbourside Studio in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.”

While it is not confirmed what Climax is working toward, the hiring drive and investment in new proprietary technology suggests a studio gearing up for a significant project.
