Study will investigate job opportunities, industry trends and working conditions for audio experts

Composers and sound designers needed for GameSoundCon survey

The organisers of GameSoundCon, a conference dedicated to music and sound in video games, are once again carrying out their annual industry survey.

The event is calling on composers and sound designers to discuss – anonymously, of course – their thoughts and experiences in work environments, the challenges of finding a job, compensation and other financial matters, and more.

You can take part in the survey here. The deadline is Tuesday, May 31st.

The results will be released and discussed when GameSoundCon is held in Los Angeles this September.

“Research and data, while incredible helpful, are often overlooked when it comes to creative fields,” said executive director Brian Schmidt.

“Participation in our annual Game Audio Industry Survey helps everyone from seasoned industry professionals negotiating their next contract to newcomers trying to get their first gig. Spotting trends, uncovering opportunities, and staying abreast of the latest technology are vital to success in game audio.”
