Nominees will be showcased at the October event and provided with a free pass to the show

Deadline for Game Connection Awards entries closes today

Today is developers’ last chance to submit their game for entry into the 2016 Game Connection Europe Awards.

Those nominated for the awards will given a free pass to the event, which takes place from October 26th to 28th in Paris, France.

Their games will additionally be showcased in the enhanced Game Connection Awards pavilion on the show floor, each with its own demo pod, and receive a trailer spot in the area.

Titles across console, mobile, casual and online are eligible to enter, regardless of platform, genre or whether they are a digital or retail release.

The 11 award categories are as follows:

  • Best Console/PC Hardcore Game
  • Best Mobile/Tablet Game
  • Best Desktop/Downloadable Game
  • Best Casual Game
  • Best Social Game
  • Best Hardcore Game
  • Excellence in Art
  • Excellence in Story and Storytelling
  • Most Promising IP
  • Most Creative & Original Project
  • Best Indie Game

The winners will be selected by a panel of judges from across the industry. Every nominee will also be also entered into running for the People’s Choice Award.
