Deering to headline Digital Spark event

PlayStation luminary Chris Deering is scheduled to appear at Abertay University’s upcoming industry event Digital Spark.

Deering is widely acclaimed as one of the most influential figures in the games business, with an eye-watering CV that covers over three decades in the interactive entertainment industries.

He’s held executive and director positions at the likes of Sony, Atari, Columbia Pictures International Video and Codemasters.

At Digital Spark 11, he will take the stage to introduce a session called ‘Perspectives from the Music Industry’, as well as chair an expert panel discussion on IP challenges in the international market.

“We are absolutely delighted that Chris has managed to find time in his very busy schedule to join us,” said conference organiser Margaret Hartnett said.

Digital Spark 2011 is being organised by Abertay University and will be hosted in the UK Centre for Excellence in Computer Games Education.
