Thames and Hudson commissions new book for aspiring games designers.

Development experts pen â??beginnerâ??s guideâ??

Three leading games designers have joined forces to release a new book aimed at would-be games developers entitled The Computer Game Design Course: Principles, Practises and Techniques for the Aspiring Game Designer.

The book has been penned by the University of Lancashire’s Jim Thompson and Ideaworks3D duo Barnaby Berbank-Green and Nic Cusworth.

Featuring screengrabs and artwork, the book provides step-by-step tutorials on all aspects of design and development including gameplay, animation, level design and game engines.

The Computer Game Design Course will be released on May 14th and will retail for £13.95 (ISBN: 9780500286586)
