EA developer consolidating all operations into new building in city's Sodermalm district

DICE moving away from Stockholm HQ

Mirror’s Edge studio EA DICE is relocating, and in doing so leaving the Stockholm building that has been the team’s home for close to ten years.

The move was revealed by GamesIndustry, which reports that DICE will transfer both its games development and Frostbite engine divisions to a new base in Stockholm’s Sodermalm district, joining the EA Nordic operations team.

EA Studios EVP Patrick Soderlund told the site the move was prompted by ongoing growth from DICE. In fact, some of the developer’s teams had expanded so much that some members were working out of separate facilities nearby.

DICE will take up 130,000 square feet in the new building, enough to cater for over 600 people. The building’s total capacity of 500,000 square feet means there’s plenty of room for future expansion.
