Red Thread Games will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise additional funds for the next installation of its much loved adventure saga.
Ragnar Tørnquist’s The Longest Journey and Dreamfall are reckoned by many critics and fans as the jewel in the crown of storytelling in games.
Doing double duty as creative director of Funcom’s The Secret World, Tørnquist recently formed his own studio to continue the series.
"We will be doing a Kickstarter," Tørnquist told Rock Paper Shotgun.
"Not right now, but we will be doing it in the near future, simply because although we received a grant from the Norwegian Film Institute, which was announced today, that is only for the preproduction phase.
"That allows us to get started on a prototype but in order to fully develop Dreamfall Chapters we’re going to need more money and we will be going to Kickstarter."
