E3 2014: Insomniac remastering original Ratchet & Clank

Insomniac Games may be hard at work on Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive, but it hasn’t forgotten its old buddies at PlayStation.

The studio is currently working on a re-imagining of the original Ratchet & Clank for PlayStation 4. The game will feature brand new graphics and features that are more in keeping with today’s games, while still retaining the spirit of the original.

The surprise remake was announced by PlayStation boss Andrew House during Sony’s E3 press conference. It will be released for PlayStation 4 in early 2015.

Also due in early 2015 is the Ratchet & Clank movie, an example of the original programming PlayStation is working on. Again, Insomniac Games is heavily involved with this project.
