E3 2014: Player tests adding new features to The Crew

Ubisoft has revealed that many of the features in upcoming title The Crew have been borne out of player testing.

During tonight’s E3 press conference, the game’s creative director Julian Gerighty discussed how developer Ivory Tower has been working with the community on how the game is structured.

He said that testers were improvising with many of the game’s challenges and making up their own. For example, some players would meet at the foot of a mountain and race to the top – as a result, Ivory Tower decided to add a Hill Climb skill.

They have also been testing the online multiplayer capabilities, live-streaming crew battles on Twitch.

The Crew is currently in development at Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections. It is due for release in November.
