Sequel to 2013 reboot coming next Christmas

E3 2014: Rise of the Tomb Raider teased

Lara fans were treated to a sneak peak at the next entry in the revamped Tomb Raider series during tonight Xbox E3 press conference.

A trailer aired during the event that saw Lara Croft undergoing psychiatric treatment following the events of the first game, which was released to critical acclaim in March 2013.

This was interspersed with footage of Miss Croft mountaineering in a snowy region, hinting at the setting of the next game.

No other details were given other that the title is due by Christmas 2015. It’s safe to assume Crystal Dynamics is still at the helm, and the game will be available on Xbox One and PS4.
