EA acquires Korean firm J2MSoft

Leading global console and casual games publisher EA has acquired Korean online games developer J2MSoft in a move designed to open up the lucrative world of Asian internet microtransactions to the firm.

“This is a significant step in EA’s strategic plan for developing and publishing online games in Asia,” EA Asia president Jon Niermann stated.
