Famed dev outfit to focus efforts on new single-player experience

EA Canada unveils new Fight Night

Vancouver-based EA Canada has revealed a new project centred on the Fight Night series.

Fight Night Champion will hit the market at some point in 2011, marking the return to the semi-regular series.

In a statement, EA Canada told IGN that the title “will break the mould of what is expected in a single-player sports game.”

The group added: “Players will be introduced to an entirely new way to step between the ropes and experience the drama, emotion, excitement and tragedy of world championship boxing.”

The project is underway for PS3 and Xbox 360.
