Elite anniversary festivities at GameCity

The silver anniversary of David Braben’s space trading game Elite will be a focal point at the upcoming GameCity show in Nottingham.

GameCity will host a string of events dedicated to the game, opening with a speech by ex-film producer Lord David Puttnam.

Lord Puttnam – a notable supporter of the game industry – will discuss the impact of British creative breakthroughs over the last 25 years.

The National Videogame Archive will also take attendees through a grand tour of Elite, with contributions from all of the key development staff who created the title, including David Braben himself.
