The Workshop Entertainment and publisher Deep Silver porting MMO to PS4 and Xbox One

Evil Within co-dev bringing Realtime’s APB to consoles

Realtime Worlds’ online action title APB is making the jump from PC to consoles.

Deep Silver is bringing a new version of the free-to-play PC game to PS4 and Xbox One in Q2 2015.

The console release is being developed by Evil Within co-developer The Workshop Entertainment. It will be free to all on PS4 but only available to Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One.

“APB Reloaded has become a phenomenon on the PC with a very passionate and faithful community,” Deep Silver CEO Klemens Kundratitz said. “We are really thrilled to help Reloaded Games and The Workshop bring this fantastic world to life on the new generation consoles.”

The game was originally released in July 2010, but just weeks later developer Realtime Worlds fell into administration. The game was shut down in September 2010.

The game was quickly acquired by K2 and was relaunched under the name APB Reloaded the following year, where it was developed by Reloaded Productions and published by Gamersfirst.

It remains available on PC until this day.
