New Ingelheim-based studio working on several titles

Ex-EA Phenomic devs found Envision Entertainment

Former developers at Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances developer EA Phenomic have formed a new studio in Germany.

As reported by GamesIndustry Interational, Envision Entertainment is led by ex-Phenomic VP Dirk Ringe, who takes up the position of CEO.

Volker Wertich meanwhile has been named as creative director, with Boris Kunkel as COO, Marco Lohlein as producer and Mark Novolozhilov as technical director. In total the developer houses 25 staff.

The studio is currently at work on a number of titles.

Phenomic was closed shut down by EA in July earlier this year, with around 60 staff thought to be affected by the closure.

The studio was originally formed in 1997 in Ingelheim, Germany by Volker Wertich, and was later acquired by EA in 2006. The developer has worked on titles such as the SpellForce series, BattleForge, Lord of Ultima and Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances.
