Viximo firm grows by offering devs access to other social networks

Facebook alternative provides 100m users

Social game platform Viximo has reached over 100 million users, the company has announced.

The Massachusetts-based firm provides developers with the tools to distribute a single game across a number of social networks – each a minnow in comparison to Facebook, but together building a significant audience.

Viximo games are distributed to networks such as Bebo, Casual Collective, Imvu and Black Planet.

In January the firm had a game-playing audience of 60 million. Today it has 100 million, as reported on Venturebeat.

The firm says it provides a “write once, deploy everywhere platform” as well as premium placement and promotion.

Each of Viximo’s social network partners typically take several of the firm’s games and publish on their own platform.

While that may add a middle-man element to a developer’s equation, Viximo CEO Dale Strang said his firm adds value by being simple to work with and offering greater revenue opportunities.
