Firemint acquires Puzzle Quest dev

Mobile game developer Firemint has acquired Australian studio Infinite Interactive, the group has confirmed.

Financial terms of the buyout were not discosed.

Infinite Interactive is perhaps best known for its Puzzle Quest series, and will now develop its titles under the Firemint name. Its founder Steve Fawkner said we now have a way to further develop some of the exciting new concepts we’ve been working on.”

Firemint broke onto the scene with a string of iPhone hits, such as Flight Control and Real Racing in 2009. The studio will now pursue other handheld devices and digitally distributed games.
