Update includes Profiler enhancements and support for fades and overlaps within Transition Timelines

FMOD Studio 1.06 to be unveiled at GDC

Firelight Technologies has announced version 1.06 of its audio tool FMOD Studio.

The release includes new features such as support for fades and overlaps within Transition Timelines and enhancements to the Profiler. A custom-built FADPCM compression format has also been introduced, which the firm claims is up to twice as fast as ADPCM while also delivering better quality and compression.

FMOD Studio 1.6 will be on show at GDC 2015 next month, where Firelight will host talks and tutorials on how to use the tool.

Firelight will be located at booth 624 in the main expo hall.
