Jon Leslie appointed as senior production expert

Former Harmonix exec joins Hansoft

Swedish management tool firm Hansoft has announced the appointment of former Harmonix producer Jon Leslie.

Leslie – who has held production roles at Microsoft Game Studios, Take-Two Interactive and EA – will join Hansoft as senior production expert.

The experienced industry exec left Harmonix in July last year, six months before the Guitar Hero studio was hit by a first wave of layoffs as the music game genre began to show signs of stagnation.

Leslie had in fact left Harmonix at the same time when the studio announced a partnership with Hansoft.

He says that the group is “truly in the forefront when it comes to production thinking”.

He added, “I look forward to working with some of the most talented developers and successful studios around the world, and help them improve their productivity.”
