Ben Board brings 15 years of experience to team behind hit racing game

Former Xbox dev joins CSR Racing team

Former Xbox developer Ben Board has joined the Brighton-based development studio, Boss Alien.

Board joins the CSR studio as senior product lead after spending four years at Microsoft, where he worked as developer account manager and helped start the Xbox European Developer Relations team, consulting on how best to utilise Xbox hardware with triple-A development studios.

Board has over 15 years experience in the games industry, including working at Bullfrog and Lionhead.
“CSR Racing was the first free-to-play game I really loved, and has deserved its gigantic success to date”, Board said.

“To have the chance to be part of the talented team at Boss Alien and NaturalMotion and help lead development on the game is stupefyingly awesome.”

Boss Alien managing director Jason Avent added: “Ben is a fantastic hire for the company, and his wealth of experience and knowledge of triple-A development will be invaluable for developing the CSR brand in the future.”

Board will now take charge of further developments and co-ordinate the strategic direction of CSR Racing.

Boss Alien was purchased by NaturalMotion last year.
