Fourth round applications open for The Games Hub accelerator

The Games Hub has opened applications for new and aspiring developers to take part in its accelerator programme.

Based in Colchester, Essex, the initiative will offer games start-ups workspace, mentoring and support for 40 weeks. Founder Steven Huckle also promises “a steady supply of tea, coffee and biscuits”.

The Games Hub has already helped to support more than five companies and 50 games developers, including Mark Backler, who is currently working on the award-winning Lost Words, and Teaboy Games, the team behind the popular mobile game Fallen.

The deadline for applications is September 30th 2016, and you can find the form here. If you’d like to know more about the hub itself, Huckle is arranging open sessions from 1pm to 2pm on September 21st and 28th.

The fourth round of the accelerator will run for 40 weeks, starting from Wednesday, October 19th.

Each week, an expert session will help new devs learn more about games design, graphics, monetisation, business development, IP ownership, marketing and more, with insight from established industry professionals.
