De_Dust 2 copied and renamed Sand Storm in WebZen's Arctic Combat

Free-to-play game clones Counter-Strike map

Yet another online developer is at the centre of a cloning storm after WebZen’s Arctic Combat appears to have ripped off content from Valve’s mega-hit Counter-Strike.

The free-to-play shooter, which is currently in closed beta, includes a map almost identical to one of the most popular and most played CounterStrike maps, De_Dust 2.

Whilst some objects have been moved around the map and some dimensions have been slightly changed, the level, named Sand Storm, is remarkably similar to Valve’s own.

Develop has contacted South Korean developer Webzen for a response to the allegations.
