Physics-based rollercoaster title ScreamRide debuts at Gamescom press briefing

Frontier’s next franchise exclusive to Xbox One

Microsoft has announced a new partnership with UK studio Frontier Developments, which will see its new IP come exclusively to Xbox One.

The new game, ScreamRide, is planned to be the first entry in a new franchise and will be released in spring 2015.

The title sees players creating wacky, near impossible rollercoasters designed to scare the riders as much as possible.

The big twist is that gamers will be able to play with the laws of physics to create even more outlandish creations, with destructible environments endangering the riders.

A trailer was shown to attendees after the game was announced by Xbox’s Phil Harrison during Microsoft’s Gamescom press briefing.
