Free contest gives creators the chance to get their game in front of industry figures

Game Connection Asia Selected Projects submissions ends Friday

Game Connection is once again holding its free Selected Projects development contest at its Asia show.

The aim of the contest is to put the spotlight on exciting new projects. The submission deadline for this year ends on Friday, April 19th.

It allows shortlisted candidates to receive a free access and additional exposure at Game Connection Asia in Shanghai, on May 28th to 29th, 2013.

The contest is open to console, mobile, social, casual and online games at any stage of development with no restriction on genre, platform or distribution method.

It’s an opportunity to pitch your project to a number of major publishers, while also receiving additional exposure at the conference. 15 nominees are selected by the advisory board.

Last year’s winner at the Asia conference was Wooden Sen’Sey by Cedric Cadiergues and Camille Masson. The game was a colour, off-beat action platform for PC and Mac.

Developers interested in the contest can enter via Game Connections’ submissions page. Entries must be in by the end of Friday, April 19th.
