FIFA 14 announced for autumn current-gen release

EA Sports has announced FIFA 14 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with additional platforms to be announced later.

Next-gen consoles like the PS4 and next Xbox aside, PS Vita, Wii U, PSP and PS2 are also missing from the initial platform list. FIFA 13 was released for all those platforms and it remains to be seen if EA decides to pull the plug on PSP and PS2 support from this year.

The two headlining features for this year’s game are ‘Pure Shot’, which aims to aid in finishing on goal, and ‘Real Ball Physics’, which promises more realistic changes to ball direction through the air.

FIFA 14 will play the way great matches are contested with build up through midfield, tension throughout the match as chances are created, and incredible finishing. Opportunities in FIFA 14 will be rewarding and great goals will look stunning,” executive producer David Rutter has said.

Screenshots and a couple of techincal videos explaining the new features can be found at MCV UK here and here respectively.
