Impressive demo shows potential for diversity in triple-A development platform

GDC 13: CryEngine 3 demo spotlights licensee games

Crytek has shown off a new trailer for the CryEngine 3 shining a spotlight on how developrs are harnessing the development platform to power their games.

As revealed by GameTrailers, the the demo reveals footage developed by companies such as Big Red Button, ESTsoft, Panzar Studio, Roberts Space Industires and City Interactive.

The footage shows off the engine in all different types of genre and setting, from the bright and colourful natural setting of the Big Red Button demo, to the gritty war setting and diverse locations of Battlefield of Honor and the impressive lighting and water effects in the Enodo footage.
