Chinese games industry veterans to offer exclusive presentations at August event

GDC China speakers named

EA, Ubisoft, Epic, 9You, Shanda and other key Chinese games industry development companies will be out in force at August’s Game Developers Conference China.

The event is co-produced by GDC organiser CMP and IDG, running from August 27th to 29th at the Shanghai International Convention Centre. The event includes a conference and middleware expo and recruitment fair.

Epic Games China’s Jun Hao Liao will lead the outsourcing track in a session called ‘Design and Production Pipelines in Next-Gen Game Environment’. Meanwhile, Xiang Wang, senior programmer a Netease heads up the online track with ‘Anti-Hacking and Anti-Cheating: Programming for Online Games’.

“Securing these high caliber Chinese game industry professionals confirms our commitment to providing attendees with the critical knowledge, skills and resources needed to get a head start in this ever-growing market,” said Meggan Scavio, senior conference manager, GDC China.

“In addition to hosting these industry pioneers, we’re excited to have some of the biggest brand names in the business participate in the Tools Display Expo and Career Fair."
