Palmer Luckey to discuss the opportunities available to developers in virtual reality

GDC Europe adds Oculus and League of Legends talks

Talks from Oculus Rift’s Palmer Luckey and League of Legends community manager Matthew Elliott are the latest sessions to be added to GDC Europe.

Oculus VR founding Luckey will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the virtual reality space in his session entitled ‘Virtual Reality Gaming and Game Development’.

Riot Games’ Elliott meanwhile will talk about the process of building offline communities around online games such as League of Legends, as well as explaining how Riot Games finds these offline brand ambassadors.

Top Eleven develop Nordeus will also be hosting a session at the event called ‘Staying in Top Eleven: Improving Retention Through the Tutorial’, in which game designer Aleksandar Markovic will analyse how to keep players from skipping tutorials.

GDC Europe 2013 will take place in Cologne, Germany, between August 19th and 21st.

Early bird tickets for the event are still available, saving attendees up to 100 Euros off the regular price.
