April 5th deadline for proposals

GDC Europe opens call for dev speakers

GDC Europe, one of the continent’s most important game development conferences, is on the hunt for industry professionals to speak at the next event.

Developers can propose to the event’s organiser, UBM TechWeb, what subject they would like to discuss either in a lecture or panel format.

The range of topics to discuss have widened too, with UMB looking for experts in business, marketing, game design, production, programming and visual arts. Those interested have until April 5th to submit proposals.

The event is expanding its remit to provide better discussion on social and mobile games.

GDC Europe runs Monday through Wednesday, August 15th to 17th.
