Resistance dev heard discussing cross-platform software at GDC

GDC: Insomniac Games going multiplatform?

Insomniac games, the studio behind Playstation 3 franchises Resistance and Ratchet & Clank, was overheard talking about becoming a multiplatform developer by an anonymous IGN source at GDC 2010.

Insomniac is independent, but has remianed a producer of Playstation-only titles since it was founded in 1994. The rumours have emerged at a time of clear expansion for the company, a new North Carolina studio having been opened earlier this year.

The titles Insomniac is already known for are all funded by Sony, meaning that any Xbox cross-over cross-over is likely to be a brand-new title.

Insomniac president Ted Price told IGN that the studio does not comment on rumors.
